Otoscope ophthalmoscope .com  is dedicated to providing quality information on the subject of choosing the otoscope ophthalmoscope sets just for you.

Very often, you will find health care providers, specifically ophthalmologists and ENT (ear-nose-throat) specialists using the ophthalmoscope or the otoscope for diagnosing eye ailments and ear, nose or throat related symptoms, respectively.

However, these diagnostic tools can also be great gifts to medical students or other health care providers who may still be studying specialization in the aforementioned fields of medicine. The problem now lies in how to find a set that you know will be useful to whoever you are supposed to give it to. So if you are indeed on a lookout for an otoscope – ophthalmoscope set, here are a few things you ought to consider.

1. Set a budget. It is important to remember that price is never an indication of good quality. It is very common to find overpriced diagnostic tools like these simply because the models have been recently launched in the market, or carry a known brand name, or imported from out of the city, state or country.

But there are also generic models out there that serve the same purposes at a fraction of the cost of other models. The one great thing about buying an otoscope – ophthalmoscope set is that you can buy this at a less expensive rate than buying the 2 diagnostic tools separately.

As such, it would be safe to relegate at least $120 for the more affordable sets. This still does not include shipping and handling costs, of course. Other sets may be pegged as much as $600 or more. By setting a budget before you peruse the different models available, you can keep your costs down without really sacrificing the quality of the otoscope – ophthalmoscope that you intend to buy.

2. Shop, shop, shop around. After you’ve set the budget, you now need to find a set that you can buy, but make sure that you check out product specifications as well. Again, it is important to remember that snazzy-jazzy product descriptions do not translate to quality.

One thing to look out for is useless product specification. Very often, marketers would try to promote the casing (or even the lining of the casing,) size and handle finish, just so they can add a few more bucks to the actual price tag of the product.

What you should be looking for are: the attachments that come with the otoscope – ophthalmoscope set, the light capacity, locking mounts (or mechanisms,) magnifying lenses (also called corrective lenses,) and specula sizes. Having a lifetime warranty isn’t too bad either.

I have gone ahead and done some research on Amazon,  so that it might help you choose the best otoscope ophthalmoscope set just for you. You can get great deals at Amazon through this link
